Welcome

We, at Hope Federation believe in participation for all. We believe that every child has individual and unique needs and strengths allowing them to flourish through the fields of life, regardless of the child’s needs. We aim to create a learning environment, which is flexible enough to meet the needs of all members of our Academies, allowing them to flourish. Inclusion is at the heart of all we do.

This page will provide you with information about how we support pupils with Special Educational Needs across Hope Federation.

Our SEND Information Reports and Policy provide information on how we support children with SEND at either Brisley or Rudham CofE Primary academies. We have also included a link to Norfolk’s Local Offer which provides information and resources surrounding supporting learners with Special Educational Needs. There are also other resources and web links to help support our families.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss about your child’s needs, please contact your child’s class teacher in the first instance.

There are four broad areas of need, which we identify in school as defined in the SEND Code of Practice (2015). We acknowledge that children’s needs may fall into more than one category.

· Cognition and Learning

· Physical and/or Sensory

· Social, Emotional and Mental Health

· Communication and Interaction

Across the federation, we provide both in class support and out of class intervention for pupils who require extra support with their behaviour, emotional wellbeing or learning.

We support our pupils with SEND through several different ways:

· First Quality Teaching

· Teacher adjustments and tweaks within class

· Additional resources and support

· Interventions

· The 7Cs Assessment (click below for more details about the 7Cs)
